Application
It can form stable complexes with calcium and magnesium ions in water, thereby reducing the hardness of water and making the detergent play a better role.
Improve the decontamination ability of detergents, especially for stains such as grease, protein and dust.
Keep dirt particles clean by dispersing them in the washing solution to prevent them from redepositing on the clothing.
It can buffer the pH of the washing liquid, so that the washing process can be carried out under stable conditions. Synergies with other detergent ingredients to enhance the overall washing effect.
However, because sodium tripolyphosphate can cause environmental problems such as eutrophication of water bodies, its application in detergents has gradually been limited and replaced by some more environmentally friendly alternatives.
